Found spam protect while searching for a way to block folks in RU from attempting to log into the administrator panel of my site.
Does Spam Protect do that or is it just blocking them from participating in the forum, email and the like?

Spam Protection Factory reads the login form before it is submitted to Joomla! and takes appropriate action based on its configuration.

It can reject a registration altogether, allowing the user to register but blocking his account immediately, or it can allow the user to register normally.
