We've just released a new build (same version) of the extension that contains a fix regarding this.
Re-download and upgrade. Let us know if the issue persists.

Hi Marina,

we fixed this too. Please download again.
As you noticed, even for a free extension our support is very fast.
Thank you for your feedback on the product!

If you have the time we would be happy to receive a review under:

extensions.joomla.org/extension/spam-protect-factory/

We are lacking reviews since unfortunately, satisfied customers rarely return to leave reviews, and most of the times we receive only revenge reviews, for situations outside our support range. Such low rated revenge reviews don't help a potential new user or us, nor the Joomla community. Since we started developing Joomla extensions 10 years ago, we have noticed that if a product is well rated, it's a win-win situation for everybody. Having a larger user base for a certain product means more and variate user feedback which are helping us to continuously improve the product and by thus bringing some financial resources that further help and sustain the development of the specified extension over a longer period of time, as we are striving with all our extensions.

Thank you for your time!

Awesome, and yes, your support has been really fast, even for a free extension.
I will put in a review as this extension definitely works as advertised even though the JED system is not exactly the way it should be. One needs quite some time and a lab environment to try and test the several extensions that are available.

Now to make things even more perfect than they already are, the date in manage extensions shows September 2013. You might want to update that ;-)

And even though PHP factory does show up in the Update Sites, I don't think it will provide automatic update, correct? Because it needs registering at your site before being able to download the extension.

Thank you! Hope they will publish it. We experience often that we are asking users for reviews, but they never get published.
Yes, unfortunately the JED system was changed a couple of years ago, making it in our opinion much harder for the user to find something useful.
Although we tried to signal that (improvements for the category pages, the reviews, the listings, etc), our feedback was not taken under account, although it's based on a verge large experience, working directly with our users.

Even the simple search is working bad. For example if you enter the exact terms "spam protect" the result with our extension which is matching 100% is still displayed way down below in the list.

Anyway, what we can do is take care further of our extensions, develop them further and who already knows us, knows that we are the best out-there, providing not only quality code and support, but also continuance, so that webmasters can maintain their websites throughout the years with our solutions.

And again, they did not published the review.
This already happened so many times, I'm starting to believe this might be done with bad intentions.
