Hi there,

I've installed rssFactory, been playing around with it a bit and it seems it should do the job quite straightforwardly. Unfortunately I'm not able to see any feed at all...

My feed is www.emcoffice.net/xml/emc.rss

When I refresh, it does give me the message "had error" all the time, not only for the above feed but also for the Factory.ro feed that comes along with the component when first installed.

Can you help me to troubleshoot??
Thanks

www.Backpage.com is a classified ad website that provides feeds for each category.

Here is one example of a feed that I cannot get to populate. Always remaining at ZERO feeds.

I have the same problem with 1 px blue lines when testing the free component.

This post is dated more than a month ago, and I see no feedback about how to solve the problem. I do hope there is a solution, otherwise I find this component useless.

Also, I am trying to import feeds from sites like feedburner, and from Invision Power Board (forum) and none of these feeds seems to work.

Can support please respond on these issues?

Thanks
Regards
Arne

Hi,

The first url is my site. It displays the Euro sign as a Question mark.
In the feed (second url) it is shown the right way. If I look into the source it is too displayed as the Euro sign en not as an entity.

I looked into the cache and found that rssFactory saves the Euro sign as a Question mark. I tried several forced encodings, however without result.

Any work around available?

Kind regards,
Cor

the RSS Factory shows in the feed the html code for that.

The original feed: avenuemagazine.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss

I've got some problem feeds on here:
www.ercsv.org/index.php?option=com_conte...log&id=32&Itemid=293

Seems that some links are working but that others attach the core URL onto the end of the link rendering it useless (ex, www.site.org/articlehttp://www.site.org)

I'm doing this for a nonprofit and would really appreciate any help that you could throw my way.

thanks, Craig
