Hello, I have Joomla 1.5.3, and the module installed successfully.
When I loaded it and went to my frontpage, I got this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '&', expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /home/senegalo/public_html/modules/mod_contextualfeeds/mod_contextualfeeds.php on line 94
The administrator has disabled public write access.

I also have the same problem, and am using J! 1.5.3.

Now , I get this error message whenever I navigate to a page where the module is loaded ( see attachement)

replace all like
news.google.com/news?ned=us&topic=h&output=rss

with

news.google.com/news?hl=fr&topic=h&output=rss
