Hi,

installed and largely working. Category and tabbed feedback links seem to have a problem.

Category says There was an error - The selected category was not found or is not published!
I've created 4 categories and made sure they are all published - any ideas?

Tabbed Feedback says There was an error - You must select at least one status to be displayed!
I have no idea where to find where I set this - maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place.

Lastly I really don't want all the menu options - is there a way to remove some of these? Please bear in mind this is all new to me, I can follow simple instructions but trying to explain stuff to me may be hard work!

Hello!

1. The menu item Category displays feedback from a specific category. You need to actually select the category from which you want to display feedback from.

You need to edit the menu item and on the Details tab select the category from the Category field.

2. Same thing for the Tabbed Feedback menu item. You need to explicitly select which statuses will be displayed. You can do this from the menu items' page, Options tab, Statuses field.

3. The menu is just a regular Joomla menu from which you can add or remove items using the backend Menu Manager.

Many thanks - knew it would be something simple and I was just looking to complicate it!

Hi again - sorry to be a nuisance. Decided to do away with the catergory menu as if it only displays a fixed category that's not really what I was after. The new problem I have found is that if I go into the Feedback List and select categories from the dropdown it doesn't seem to filter anything and all feedback is still displayed from all categories. That said I've only done 2 test entries in 2 categories. There isn't a search button or anything to click, so wondering how this is supposed to work?

1. Does the page reload after you select a new category from the category filter?

This most likely looks like a javascript issue. Using a browser like Firefox open the browser's Javascript error console and reload the page. Try to select a new category from the filter category. Are there any Javascript errors displayed?

2. The page should automatically reload after you change a filter.

Saved as a BMP to see if that works - I'll try the original again in a fresh reply now - opens OK locally

Those are not errors, just warnings. Click on Errors to display errors. The errors should be displayed on a red background.
